From TVA’s website:
“TVA invites public engagement in the IRP process through multiple venues, including in-person public meetings, virtual meetings and public comment periods.
“TVA has received input during quarterly TVA Board listening sessions, at RERC meetings and during informational IRP webinars.
“We want to hear from residents and communities around the region. Your insights and opinions are vital as we plan how TVA will meet future power demand.
“We are now entering the next phase of the process, with the draft IRP and EIS published on Sept. 23, 2024. We want the public to understand what’s in the documents and ask us questions, so we are holding two webinars and 10 in-person meetings across the region during the public comment period, which runs through Dec. 11, 2024.”

Valley Pathways Study Webinar
The Tennessee Valley Authority and University of Tennessee Baker School of Public Policy and Public Affairs launched the Valley Pathways Study in February 2023 to evaluate the existing environmental landscape and explore opportunities to reduce carbon emissions and create a competitive, sustainable economy. The study brought together 24 participants from multiple sectors, including transportation, agriculture, industry, municipalities, state agencies, academia, and others. Participants shared their perspectives and idea for how we can work together to achieve net-zero emissions for future generations.

TVA Public Forum Meeting
Key Action Alert:
TVA will be holding a public forum meeting on the proposed Cheatham County Gas plant on Tuesday, February 13 at 6 pm at Cheatham Middle School Gymnasium.
https://www.tva.com/about-tva/get-involved-stay-involved
Note, the correct address of the meeting is 700 Scoutview Dr Ashland City, TN 37015
This will be our best opportunity to oppose this new gas plant. The plant will make it difficult for Nashville to meet its climate goals, and will significantly change the rural character of Cheatham County. Please consider attending. We also ask that you defer speaking at the event until local residents have had the opportunity to speak
State of the Environment Conference
You are Invited to the State of the Environment Conference on February 12 at the Vanderbilt Law School. Attendance is free, lunch is provided, and registration is not required.
Meaningful Rituals for Climate Grief
